When I booked my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I was picturing vibrant reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But I discovered something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My heart leaped. This was more than a typical dive; this was journey into history.

I'll admit, I was a bit nervous. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the team at **Amadive** was fantastic. Their PADI instructors gave us a very thorough safety briefing. We discussed our safety procedures, the story of the wreck, and what we would see. The fact we were in a small group instantly made me feel safe.

Going down was surreal. At first, it's a dark shape in the blue, and then the wreck came into view. It was read more huge. The ship is now a thriving artificial reef, draped in soft corals and swarming with marine life. I spotted big groupers hiding from the hull, and schools of fusiliers patrolling the superstructure. The feeling of gliding next to this silent, ghostly structure is hard to describe—haunting, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It's a piece of history under the water.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and looking for something beyond the usual reef dive, I urge you this **Con Dao wreck dive** highly enough. It was the absolute highlight of my diving trip. A huge shout-out to the **Amadive** crew for their professionalism and for making this incredible adventure possible and safe.
